Hello World. This Site Needed a New Job...

A personal note on what I do, what I care about, and why I want to write more.

Hi, I’m Nico.

I help D2C brands turn existing traffic into more email signups, first purchases, repeat customers, and email revenue.

For a long time, this website had one job.

Send people to my work. Show a few testimonials. Make it easy to contact me.

That was useful. But it made the site feel too small.

I think about a lot of things that do not fit on a service/agency page.

Email marketing. D2C growth. Creative strategy. Psychology. Tech. Software. AI workflows. Working for yourself. Meditation. Making mistakes.

Most of those thoughts had no real home.

So this is the new home.

A bit about me

I’m Nico, a marketer focused on email and creative strategy. Before this, I worked as a software engineer.

That background shapes how I think.

I like systems, but I care about words.

I like automation, but I care about the person reading.

I like data, but sales matter more than pretty dashboards.

In client work, I help D2C brands improve the parts of email that turn attention into revenue. That usually means signup forms, welcome flows, campaigns, retention emails, brand understanding and strategy, and better thinking around what customers need to hear and where they are in their journey.

This blog is where I’ll write about what I’m trying, learning, and questioning.

Some posts will be practical.

Some will be opinionated.

Some will be personal.

Some will probably be unfinished thoughts I need to test in public.

The thread through all of them is going to be how to do better work, and how to do it in a way that feels good.

How do you communicate better, connect more deeply, sell more honestly?

How do you build systems that make business work effortlessly instead of creating more work?

How to live a good life while doing all of that? Obviously, I don’t have all the answers. Frankly, I don’t have many of them. But I want to write in persuit of them, and I want to share what I find.

That is what this site is for now.

Cheers, Nico
